a small desk calendar, a huge cause
The Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines launched last December a fund raising project for the medical emergency needs of its members. For the first time, EJAP produced a small desk calendar which showed the different vignettes of the Philippine economy. The calendar is given as a token of appreciation to kind-hearted donors.
Each and every photograph was taken around the country by Filipino photojournalist Jes Aznar. Last year's EJAP president and BusinessMirror reporter Lenie Lectura conceptualized the health fund project and put me in charge of making the funds grow.
I am happy to report that just three months since EJAP launched the project, the organization has already raised roughly P300,000. This serves as the seed money of the health fund. Thank you very much to everyone who gave their support. Your help will go a long way.
We are eyeing a seed money of P500,000 so interested parties can still help. Kindly get in touch with me through my email address, irisceciliagonzales@gmail.com or any EJAP board member.
Thank you.
